CitePrecise (accessible via citeprecise.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website, we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service that are reported to our designated copyright agent identified below.
1. DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement
If you are a copyright owner, authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the site by completing a Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our designated agent.
To be effective, the notification must be a written communication that includes the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (please provide the exact URL of the page).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which you may be contacted.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
2. Designated Copyright Agent
All DMCA notices should be sent to our designated agent at the following email address:
Email: citeprecise@gmail.com
We prefer receiving notices via email to ensure prompt action and resolution.
3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you receive a notification that material you posted has been removed due to a copyright infringement claim, you may file a counter-notification if you believe the removal was a result of mistake or misidentification.
To be effective, your counter-notification must be a written communication sent to our designated agent and include the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you reside outside the United States, that you consent to jurisdiction of any U.S. Federal Court where the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement or an agent of such person.
4. Repeat Infringer Policy
CitePrecise reserves the right to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users or accounts that are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
